This is a beautiful hand carved hardwood Anglo Indian settee dates back to the mid Victorian era, circa 1860. The settee is of serpentine form, the profusely carved back is beautifully decorated with leaves and foliage. The arm rests terminate in carved tiger heads, above a foliate carved seat rail. The upholstery is a soft blue velvet. It is raised on carved legs with scrolled toes and castors.
