An “Anders Svendsen” (Of Denmark) designed sideboard, featuring a hand-carved floral motif along the top edge, rich burled wood, and elaborate brass hardware on the doors, including ornamental hinges and a central floral latch, and sitting on turned and carved bun feet connected by stretcher bars. This cabinet is a mid-20th century creation, possibly from as early as the 1940s.
Svendsen, based in Copenhagen, was known for creating high-quality, handcrafted pieces during the early top mid twentieth century, often blending traditional styles with subtle Art Deco or functionalist influences.
