A pair of late-19th-century French aneroid barometers, dating from circa 1880–1900, each featuring a circular dial with atmospheric readings such as Tempête, Pluie, Variable, and Beau Temps. Both instruments display exposed internal mechanisms visible through the central aperture, a characteristic feature of period French designs. One example is marked Larché, Opticien, Bordeaux, and the other Guérineau, Opticien, Bordeaux, indicating production by regional scientific instrument makers active in the late 19th century. The pair reflects typical construction methods of the era and remains a representative set of French scientific instruments from the period.
