French Louis XVI style marquetry side table or nightstand, late 19th century (circa 1880), constructed in walnut and kingwood veneers with hand-cut floral inlaid designs to the drawers, sides, and legs. Two drawers with ormolu escutcheons and rosette pulls, flanked by gilt bronze swag mounts at the corners. Tapered fluted legs with ormolu mounts and a shaped apron with additional ormolu detail. Fully finished and presentable on all sides, suitable for placement away from or against a wall.
