An impressive Louis XVI style giltwood salon suite, comprising a settee and pair of matching armchairs. Each piece features an elegantly carved and gilded frame with the refined neoclassical detailing characteristic of the Louis XVI tradition, including fluted legs, carved rosettes, foliate ornament and finely moulded borders. The suite is upholstered in a crimson cut velvet, decorated with large damask-style motifs. The settee features a generously proportioned upholstered back and seat with gracefully curved open arms, while the accompanying fauteuils repeat the same carved detailing and luxurious upholstery, creating a particularly striking and cohesive ensemble.
