A striking three-tier console table dating to the 1970s, constructed with distinctive paired cylindrical Lucite supports joined by sculptural brass fittings and three inset glass shelves within brass frames. The sophisticated combination of transparent lucite, glass and polished brass is characteristic of high-end European furniture of the period.
Similar examples in the market are have claimed this design to be by Italian designer Romeo Rega; however, in the absence of a maker’s mark or documented provenance, we can only comfortably attribute it to the famed designer.
