This charming writing desk is what’s known as a ‘spinet desk’. In the early 1800s, when a spinet piano or harpsichord wires wore out, they would sometimes be repurposed; the frames were gutted and they were cleverly converted into desks, thus the name.

This mahogany desk has a very practical, narrow design, lending itself to fitting into almost any space. Decorated with boxwood inlays and stringing, displays rich caramel hues and a desirable, aged patina.

Dimensions: 59” wide by 20” deep by 31” tall ( pull out work surface is 26.5” tall )

$2250
