A French, Napoleon III style Library in mahogany and rosewood parquetry, opening three doors brass grille in the upper part. Large upper central plate with cherubs, and many attractive original gilt bronzes on the whole of it. The size and proportions of this are very desirable, as it will fit just as beautifully into a small space as it would into a grand one. The interior will soon have three shelves.
The bookcase stands on a stepped and moulded breakfront base and is supported on six ormolu mounted turned legs matching sabots. Resting on the top is fitted white marble with light grey veining.
