This charming 19th-century cradle, likely from the Austro-Hungarian region, features hand-painted folk motifs in warm tones of red, gold, and green, with stylized florals and heart cut-outs typical of alpine decorative arts. The original pine frame rests on a rocker-style base with turned finials and scalloped edges. Over time, the interior was retrofitted with a custom metal liner, allowing the piece to function beautifully as a rustic decorative planter. This is a fine example of Central European folk art.
