An impressive and high quality French 19th century Louis XV st. Giltwood and marble console. The console is raised by two pierced cabriole legs extensively decorated by richly carved floral garlands and connected by scrolled stretchers adorned with exceptional acanthus leaves and a large central reserve. The frieze above has a wave like carved design amidst foliate berried branches and additional scrolled leaves. Above lays its original marble top following the lovely shape of the console. All original gilt throughout.
