Antique French carved oak “lit clos” (enclosed bed) from the late 1700s, that was later converted into a sliding door bookcase cabinet. Constructed and carved entirely by hand, it features four sliding carved panels with traditional Breton motifs, including stylized florals, geometric borders, and spindlework details. The upper frieze is deeply carved, and the interior is fitted with adjustable shelving (two present in photos, but three included), while the lower section houses three drawers.
Originally built as an enclosed bed typical of rural Breton interiors, this piece has been repurposed for storage while retaining its original carved façade and structure.
