A pair of French Louis XVI style “bergères à oreilles”, or wingback armchairs, from the early 20th century. Generous in proportion, the walnut frames are hand-carved with floral rosettes, fluted legs, and scroll-accented arms, and they’re upholstered in a subtly reflective pale blue diamond-patterned fabric with brass nailhead trim. Each chair features a loose seat cushion and padded back for comfort.
