A French Louis Philippe style commode, or chest of drawers, crafted in the mid-20th century from richly figured mahogany with striking bookmatched drawer fronts. The bombe-form sides taper to carved scroll supports with floral detail, raised on block feet with carved detail. Three full-length drawers are constructed with dovetail joinery and retain original brass escutcheons in foliate motifs.
