This French 19th Century gueridon features an elaborately carved baluster pedestal with acanthus leaf motifs and a scrolling tripod base set on brass casters. The circular top is fitted with a highly molded slab of dark grey marble with pronounced veining and fossil inclusions, offering a bold contrast to the warm mahogany base. Circa 1870.
