Gold statue of the young Buddha “Bodhisattvas” Standing on a lotus blossom pedestal. Elaborately carved with the eyes in finely made glass stones and more stones adorning the forehead. The hair is finely carved with dense nubs and the Ushnisha, symbol for his wisdom and highest achievement of spiritual reliance. From head to toe this piece is finished in a stunning gold gilt with a striking patina. From Burma, Mid 19th century.
