Set of six Louis XVI style dining chairs with a stripped, bleached finish. Each chair features a rectangular back with a gently arched crest rail and molded frame, upholstered in a neutral fabric to both seat and back. The frames are raised on turned, tapered legs with ring detailing, joined by shaped seat rails. Carved rosettes appear at the upper corners of the front legs, a characteristic neoclassical motif associated with the Louis XVI style.
The chairs reflect the restrained symmetry and classical influence of late 18th-century French design, interpreted here in a later 20th-century production. The finish has been lightened to emphasize the natural grain of the wood, giving the set a more contemporary presentation while retaining traditional form.
Many of the seats show small stains, and all chairs would benefit from new seat padding.
