A finely crafted folding games table in the Louis XV style, dating to around 1930. The top is decorated with intricate floral marquetry and opens to reveal a baize-lined playing surface. Cabriole legs with brass mounts complete the design. Tables of this type were originally found in the parlors and salons of affluent homes in Paris and other European cities, where they served as both decorative furniture and a centerpiece for leisurely card games.
