This French Louis XV style bombe commode (chest of drawers) dates to around 1900 and showcases finely executed parquetry in kingwood, rosewood, and tulipwood. The bombe-form case rests on cabriole legs, contains two drawers with dovetailed construction, and retains its original gilt-bronze mounts and shaped marble top. It bears a branded “R.B.” leaping-gazelle workshop mark and a faint circular stamp reading “FABRICATION FRANÇAISE,” a designation commonly used on French-made goods from the late 1880s until the onset of World War I.
