A large and finely cast early 20th-century French sculpture modeled after Charles Ruchot’s La Victoire couronnant le travail. The composition depicts a classical allegory of Victory, represented as a winged female figure crowning a youthful laborer who holds a lyre, symbolizing both toil and artistic aspiration. Victory raises a laurel wreath and cornucopia overhead, bestowing triumph and abundance. The base is strewn with tools and cogs, reinforcing the industrial and creative symbolism. The sculpture is richly detailed with flowing drapery, idealized anatomy, and expressive faces, mounted on a stepped circular socle with a gilt brass accent.

Signed on the base and bearing a plaque titled “Groupe Couronnement du Travail.”
