This giltwood wall mirror features a carved and pierced frame, with the inner opening worked in an oval form. The carved decoration consists of symmetrical foliate and ribbon-style motifs, with scrolling acanthus and floral detailing The openwork carving allows the reflective surface of the plate to remain visible through the pierced areas.
The mirror plate is free from notable foxing and can be fitted for hanging either vertically or horizontally. Likely circa 1940–1960.
