A French Louis XVI style folding games table, or “envelope table”, in satinwood with contrasting inlay. The square top opens to a four-fold gaming surface with a central leather inset and recessed brass cup holders. The frieze is decorated with scrolling inlaid motifs above a single drawer and framed by a continuous brass gallery rail. Raised on tapered legs with brass caps, reflecting the restrained neoclassical lines of the Louis XVI revival period.
