This cabinet combines elements from several periods, assembled to create a unified and practical piece. The lower section, dating from around 1650–1700, features hand-carved figures, paneled doors, and lion’s paw feet. Inside, custom early to mid-20th-century velvet-lined cutlery drawers with brass pulls were added. The upper glazed display section was added in the late 19th century, likely during the Victorian period, when it was common to adapt older furniture for renewed use.
The result is a distinctive cabinet that blends early craftsmanship with later adaptations, offering both decorative presence and functional storage.
