A vanity in solid and veneered mahogany with stylized floral inlay, dating to circa 1900 and originating from Barcelona. The drawer fronts feature bookmatched mahogany with fruitwood marquetry in sinuous Art Nouveau lines, characteristic of the “Catalan Modernisme” movement. The asymmetrical mirror is framed in sculpted mahogany, and the drawers retain their original cast brass ring pulls in a floral motif. A regional interpretation of Art Nouveau with strong decorative influence from Barcelona’s turn-of-the-century design culture.
