A French Empire style salon set comprising a settee and pair of armchairs, finished in a warm ivory and upholstered in a neutral textured fabric. The suite is distinguished by bronze mounts, including seated winged sphinx figures supporting the armrests, winged lion motifs at the knees, paw feet, and finely detailed laurel ornament throughout. The bold Egyptian Revival influence is paired with elegant French inspired frame design, giving the set a wonderfully theatrical yet refined presence. We believe this set was made in the last quarter of the 20th century.
