French Directoire Cylinder Desk, Bureau à cylindre. Standing on tapered round legs in brass sabots. The writing surface is lined with leather and pulls out for extra space. On top is a stunning piece of marble surrounded with a bronze gallery. Made of rich Cuban mahogany with a fabulous patina. Early 19th century.
