French Louis XV style nightstand/bedside cabinet veneered in kingwood and satinwood, featuring an inset marble top surrounded by a shaped brass moulding. The cabinet is fitted with a single drawer above a tambour-door cupboard opening to interior storage, and is finished on all four sides, allowing it to be placed away from a wall if desired. Decorative parquetry and herringbone veneer work accent the drawer, sides, and legs, while slender cabriole legs terminate in cast brass sabots. A finely executed piece from Paris, likely late 19th century.
