A very finely crafted French transitional commode, circa 1870, decorated in reverse diamond matched Kingwood with delicate ribbon marquetry above delicate ebonized stringing. Retains its original gilt-bronze mounts and a brèche marble top, with excellent craftsmanship and a warm, even patina.
