A finely crafted walnut sideboard in the Art Modernisme style, made in Barcelona circa 1900. Closely related to Art Nouveau, Modernisme was the uniquely Catalan expression of the movement—marked by fluid lines, organic motifs, and highly artisanal craftsmanship. This piece features an arched and carved crest, pierced scrollwork supports, a red marble top, and a mirrored back.
Three drawers sit above paneled cupboard doors framed by turned columns and stylized carvings. Brass pulls, solid dovetail joinery, and the original glass complete this elegant and functional example of turn-of-the-century design from Catalonia.
