This early 20th-century parclose mirror is framed in carved giltwood in the Louis XVI style, with acanthus scrolls, rosettes, swag garlands, and a central urn finial. The segmented mirror plate features geometric panels bordered by beaded trim and moulded edges.
A mirror of this scale and refinement would have originally hung in a formal salon or entrance hall, serving both as decoration and a means to reflect candlelight and grandeur.
