A pair of French Directoire-style mahogany bedside, or side, tables, each with a Carrera marble top and pierced brass gallery, and two drawers accented with brass trim. They are supported on turned tapering fluted legs and feature a lower shelf for additional storage. Circa 1950.

Carrara marble is a type of white or blue-grey marble popular for use in sculpture and building decor. It is quarried in the city of Carrara in the province of Massa and Carrara in the Lunigiana, the northernmost tip of modern-day Tuscany, Italy.
