A French Louis XV style commode offering a beveled marble top over kingwood case with satinwood marquetry and cast ormolu mounts, raised on cabriole legs. A very unique feature to this piece is that the top drawer can actually drop forward to present you with a space for writing. Inside the top drawer are 4 smaller drawers. Early 20th century.
