French, oval mahogany, Louis XVI-style extending dining table – with brass details to the legs and feet, and brass trim around the edge of the top. The table has an extending runner system with drop-down central support legs and will open to as long as 152″ (over twelve feet). At present there are no leaves. A very well-made table with a smoothly-operating extending system; with a full compliment of five or six leaves this would be a ten thousand-dollar table. Circa 1900.
