A French, Napoleon III mahogany side cabinet, profusely inlaid with various exotic veneers of rosewood, kingwood, amboyna, boxwood, etc. The door features a highly-detailed marquetry panel of flowers and leaves and an urn with swags below. Turned and fluted columns on each side of the door are accented with gilt bronze mounts and classical capitals. There is further gilt bronze trim accenting the base and framing the original marble top. Circa 1875.
