A French, 19th Century, Louis XV-style lady’s writing desk or ‘bonheur du jour’ in rosewood, having a drawer beneath the leather writing surface and an upper superstructure with bevelled glass cabinet and small upper right-hand drawer.  The piece is embellished throughout with floral marquetry and inlaid stringing. Circa 1890.
